For Couples, a Joint Account.

Couples book us more often than the city might guess. Sometimes the occasion is an anniversary that deserves a third glass at the table; sometimes it is simply two people who travel together and enjoy hosting. Whatever brings you both, this format adds one companion to your evening, with tact as the operating principle.

The arrangement is agreed with both of you in the same thread and priced per companion on request, while the one figure in print, from €180 per hour, stays unchanged. Discretion, as ever, is total, and here it is doubled: two reputations enjoy the protection normally issued to one.

Section 01, Now printing

Cleared for For couples.

Section 02

Evenings for three.

A long dinner in Oud-Zuid with a guest who can talk to you both. A gallery afternoon and a slow aperitif. A wander through the small bars of the Jordaan where a third voice keeps the conversation circulating. Couples tend to book the social formats, and the companions who suit this page are chosen exactly for that: warmth without agenda, attention shared evenly, and the sense to follow the couple's lead in everything. The occasion needs no justifying to us either way; hosting is reason enough, and the thread will never ask why.

Section 03

Comfort, agreed in advance.

The best couples' evenings are planned by both partners together, and we gently insist on it. The first message can come from either of you, but the plan should be one you have already settled between yourselves. Tell us the shape of the evening, how you would like her introduced, and any lines the night should not cross.

She will honour the quieter partner's comfort as carefully as the louder one's enthusiasm, which is the actual skill this page sells.

Section 04

A first evening for three.

For a first booking we usually point couples toward dinner, two hours or three, somewhere with tables generous enough for conversation to move freely. It gives all three of you a public, easy setting, lets the introductions happen over a menu rather than a doorstep, and ends with a walk that tells you whether a longer evening deserves planning. Many couples stop there and simply ask for the same guest on the next visit; some move on to concerts, galleries or a slow night out.

Whatever the second evening becomes, it is quoted like the first: per companion, stated once, agreed by both of you in the same thread. Most couples find the second booking easier than the first, which is the format doing its job.

Section 05

Companions who host well.

Thea is the easiest company on the roster, cheerful, grounded and impossible to feel awkward around. Rosa brings warmth and a record collector's supply of conversation, and Nancy, sunny and unhurried, makes an evening feel like a holiday that happens to be indoors. Several of the blonde names host couples regularly; ask in the thread, and the answer about who genuinely enjoys this format will be a plain one.

Section 06

The record, kept by no one.

A couple's booking is the most private thing we arrange, and the machinery honours it. One thread, which either of you may hold; one figure, agreed before the evening; no note anywhere afterwards that three people ever shared a table.

The booking steps are identical to any other evening, and the faq covers what little small print exists, which, as usual in this house, is almost none. Questions that feel too particular for a webpage are answered in the thread too, plainly and without archiving.

** For couples, the fine print **

Anything else, the desk answers at any hour

Q01Is a couples booking awkward to arrange?

Less than most guests fear. Send the same three facts as any booking, who, where, when, and add a line saying you are booking as a couple. The reply is as matter-of-fact as everything else here, and the tone stays that way through the evening.

Q02Who should send the messages?

Either partner, though one thread is best, and we assume both of you read it. Decisions about the evening are treated as joint, and a plan changes only when the thread says so.

Q03Can she join us for dinner only?

Of course. Many couples book exactly that, a guest for the table and the walk after it. Longer evenings are priced per companion and agreed in the thread first, precisely as the rates page describes.

Q04How discreet is this, really?

As discreet as everything else on this site, which is to say completely: nothing kept on our side, an ordinary-looking dinner to any onlooker, and a companion who would not recognise the word gossip. Both your names dissolve when the booking ends; that is the entire design.

Q05Will she have hosted couples before?

Yes. The names suggested on this page host couples as a regular part of their work, not as an experiment. Experience shows in small ways, an introduction smoothed, a pause read correctly, and it is precisely the thing you are booking.
